WE NEVER FREEZE OUR PIZZA DOUGH!!
It is the era of the quick product at the lowest cost you possibly can get it. Which means quite a few of the chain pizzerias are getting their pizza crust brought in frozen to help reduce the cost of making it by hand. Some folks don't care and their product is still ok to eat, of course. But you know that it is not like it was before, unfortunately.
At Port City Underground it is NOT OK to freeze the crust!
We still respect the craft of blending hand picked ingredients into a product we can call our own. We are proud of our crust and you should be proud to eat it!
Our handmade crust is rolled fresh everyday and then baked to perfection in our stone bed oven. This may take a little bit of extra time, but I promise you that it is worth it!
